Fire, Reflection, and Transformation: Navigating the Energy of Neptune in Aries, the Queen of Wands, and the Wisdom of the Hermit

I have been thinking a lot about the Fire element with Neptune moving into Aries and very closely trining (a harmonious aspect of flow and opportunity) my natal Mars and North Node in Leo.

My favorite Tarot card is the Queen of Wands. This fiery queen embodies confidence, high energy, health, creative self-expression, vitality, and ambition to go after her goals.

With Venus and Mercury retrograde in the water sign Pisces, in the eighth house of my birth chart, I have been feeling low energy and a need for more introspection, contemplation, or sanctuary. Besides some of the traditional meanings of this house, which involve shared resources, death, and inheritance, the symbolism goes much deeper. Eighth-house themes also encourage self-exploration, deep psychological transformation, occult knowledge, and bringing repressed fears, anxieties, or hidden aspects of the psyche to the surface.

I asked the Tarot how I was doing in regard to the Fire element in my life recently. It was no surprise that I pulled the Hermit card. The Hermit card is one of 22 major life themes in a 78-card deck. Its astrological correspondence is Virgo and the Earth element. Its essence involves retreating, seeking out healthy solitude, making one’s needs a priority, and going on a social media cleanse. It can also symbolize wisdom, meditation, or simply getting away from distractions to contemplate one’s life direction. I cannot say I was thrilled to pull this card because I feel the need for more 🔥 Fire energy at this time. But I cannot deny the message to clear my mind. I have been taking several courses of study and still dealing with a chronic health issue that demands I unplug and rest.

The Queen of Wands’ astrological correspondence is Leo and Fire 🔥. She symbolizes passion, creativity, visionary inspiration, and confidence. She is warm and endearing, yet magnetic and at times formidable.

I look forward to both Mars and Venus stationing direct and moving back into Aries. I will do a recheck then to see how I am embodying this element.

Happy Venus Day (Friday)!

The Tarot deck is Bonestone and Earthflesh by Avalon Cameron and Ana Tourian. Unfortunately, it has been out of print for a long time.
