Tarot pull for January and February
My personal, daily Tarot pull is The Four of Swords and the Hermit. The 4 of swords is associated with astrological Mercury in Libra. Mercury rules over the mind, communication, logic and reason. Libra seeks harmony, peace and diplomacy. The swords in the tarot are associated with the air element. The message here is all about retreat, rest, relaxation, and quiet time. I ask myself if I am feeling drained today. Maybe a nice long walk in nature or a massage will restore my mental equilibrium. It’s time to rejuvenate my weary self. The Hermit (major Arcana number 9 card) is a double emphasis on introspection. The Hermit guiding light is asking me to understand my restlessness by spending time alone, and get more in touch with my authenticity. It may also suggest that seeking wisdom from another person who understands how important it is to realign with my inner self is a very good idea. The astrological correspondence of The Hermit is the zodiac, earth sign Virgo. Virgos are known to be deliberate with details and organization, however, many Virgos are wayshowers, healers and spiritual guides for others through the cycles of life.
Astrologically, January heading into early February is an important time of transition. The true nodes shifted into Pisces and Virgo. Venus and Neptune will conjoin the north node in late degrees of Pisces on February 1, 2025 (I will write more about this Major shift in my next article). Mars continues its retrograde in Cancer, and will eventually station direct on February 23 at 6 degrees of Leo where it initially stationed retrograde. Mercury entered air sign Aquarius on January 28, 2025, where it conjoined Pluto and the Sun on January 29 for the NEW MOON at 9 degrees of AQUARIUS. New beginnings involving themes of collective progress, innovation, and rebellion are suggested. These same ideals benefit each of us on a personal level. Lastly, on January 30, the Planet Uranus, which takes 84 years to transit through the tropical zodiac, STATIONS DIRECT AT 23 DEGREES OF TAURUS. Uranus energy involves themes of sudden change, originality, freedom, rebellion, revolution, and social awareness. Those individuals who have any personal, natal planets in a dynamic aspect to Uranus will most definitely feel this (myself included as this station will oppose my natal Venus). At least we have a beautiful trine the same day with the transiting Sun in Aquarius in harmonious aspect to expansive and optimistic planet Jupiter in Gemini.
